Here are the key rules that will change from June 1, 2024:
Driving License Rules:
Individuals will be able to take driving tests at private driving
training Centres instead
of government Regional Transport Offices (RTOs).
These private Centres can conduct tests and issue certifications for
license eligibility.
The government aims to eliminate around 900,000 old vehicles and enforce
stricter car emission standards.
Violators of traffic rules will face larger fines, with a fine of
₹25,000 imposed in cases of a minor driving the vehicle. Additionally, the
vehicle owner’s registration may be cancelled.
Aadhaar Card Update:
If you plan to update your Aadhaar Card, you can do so online until June
14.
For offline updates, a fee of ₹50 per update will apply.
LPG Cylinder Prices:
Oil companies will adjust LPG cylinder prices on June 1 as part of their
monthly price revision practice.
Prices of commercial cylinders were reduced in May, and it is expected
that they may lower cylinder prices again in June.
